This 46-year-old mother of two underwent CoolSculpting at another practice for fatty accumulation to her abdomen and hip rolls. In the months that followed, she noticed the areas thickened with fat. She was unaware that this condition can be caused by CoolSculpting. It is an uncommon reaction that requires liposuction to fix and is often reimbursed by the CoolSculpting company. We then performed liposuction of her abdomen and hip rolls, and she is extremely happy with the result. The small amount of fullness she has remaining in her abdomen is residual extra skin from her pregnancies. This could be addressed with an abdominoplasty, but she is happy with the liposuction for now.
