This Suffolk Virginia mom in her early thirties planned no more pregnancies and was interested in a mommy makeover. She wanted abdominal liposuction to remove excess fat and then inject it into her “hip dips”. With her abdomen, I explained the skin is stretched and is considerably excessive which is best addressed with a tummy tuck. Having liposuction could lead to more sagging or possibly there could be more elasticity than expected. Surprisingly, after liposuction the skin did shrink and she has decided she may not want an abdominoplasty after all. The fat from multiple areas including abdomen, flanks, upper and mid back, lateral chest, and medial thighs was to be partially used for injecting the “hip dips” that bothered her so much. She is shown 4 months after surgery and is extremely pleased with the amount of fat that “took”. She is wondering if she should get a tummy tuck and possibly a breast lift at the same time. I explained that she will have no fullness above after a breast lift, so she is thinking of placing an implant at the same time. For safety reasons, we would do the breast surgery first followed by the abdominoplasty a few days later. I offered to have her come back for further discussion.
