This Virginia Beach woman in her forties was bothered by extra fat in some areas and her deep “hip dips”. The best way to address this is by suctioning fat from various areas and injecting it into the hip dips. Looking at her preoperative photo, she has very little extra fat, which means the result will be less noticeable. After a very thorough discussion, she wanted to proceed with the surgical plan. Knowing there was little fat to harvest, the Viality device was used during her procedure. This device allows more fat to be retained, minimizing the body reabsorbing the fat that was injected. She had liposuction of her abdomen, hip rolls, saddlebags, and medial thighs. These areas provided enough extra fat to make a difference. The final result of her buttock area may have diminished by her 11-pound weight loss after surgery. Losing weight can decrease fat from the grafted area but she was still very happy with the overall shape improvement.
