This 32-year-old Norfolk man has been in the military for many years. He came to me for consultation because he was concerned about meeting his required measurements to stay enlisted.
On exam, I found that most of his fat was subcutaneous, on the inside of his abdomen. He had a large pinch of fat over the hip rolls as well. Although, I can never guarantee any certain improvement in measurements, I did assure him that his results would be quite noticeable and help his measurements. He is extremely pleased now four and a half months following his surgery. It is always best to have at least three months, preferably six months, before measurements. This allows for swelling to decrease and see optimal results. In this case, the patient felt confident enough to be measured at one month and was able to meet his required goal. He is extremely pleased with his liposuction results and it has also motivated him to get in better shape.
