This Virginia Beach woman in her forties has lost an enormous amount of weight after gastric bypass surgery and only wanted to address her abdomen, including excision and lift of the mons area.Having A scar on the abdomen, seen in her before photo, can be very tight and restricting when we attempt to stretch the skin downward and remove a large amount of skin. It is very important to find a way to lengthen the Scar,so it does not tether and limit skin removal in the middle section. The Best Option was to use multiple needle releases to the scar which was quite effective at releasing thetether.Herpost-opphotosweretaken just 4 months aftersurgery,so those needle releases are still quite pink, like the abdominoplasty scar itself. These Will fade to white like her preoperative scar and the result will look the same as the scar she had before surgery although it must extend down below her umbilicus because the scar stretched greatly when released with the multiple tiny needle cuts.
