This Chesapeake woman in her mid-thirties is 5’ 4” and only 102 pounds. She is very thin, and her breasts are very narrow, with a width of 10.9 cm. This leads to many decisions prior to surgery. Careful consideration went into choosing the width of her implants to add more volume on each side of her breasts. In this area the skin is very thin which is why we chose a gel implant. Adding to the width of her breasts resulted in a more attractive and natural appearance. Placing the implants within the confines of her breasts before surgery, as we do with most patients, would have looked unnatural in this thin woman. Her implants were 275cc Mentor smooth round high profile through an infra mammary approach.
