This 45-year-old patient from Suffolk had breast augmentation with another surgeon 17 years ago and has been quite pleased except for changes to her breasts over the last few years. She has gained some weight and feels her breasts are a little large but she is even more displeased with the sag that has developed in recent years.
We discussed options such as going with smaller implants and/or a breast lift. She was pleased to learn that with a breast lift there is the choice of removing only a little or a considerable amount of breast tissue. In her situation, the breast tissue must be removed from the lowest hanging part of the breasts in order to give such a dramatic improvement in shape. This worked out nicely since it also met her desire to be a little smaller. Her scars are slightly pink still at only four months after surgery and they will continue to get better. She is extremely pleased her new shape and size.
