This 23-year-old Norfolk resident was unhappy with the shape of her breasts following multiple pregnancies. After a thorough discussion and exam, I recommended a vertical breast lift. This type of lift is most effective at removing hanging breast tissue, while also giving the patient less skin on skin contact. Another advantage with the vertical breast lift is minimal horizontal scarring beneath the breast and sometimes none at all. During our discussion, I explained that she could get more fullness near the top of her breast by placing an implant. She decided to undergo only the breast lift realizing that there would be some slight hollowing at the top. During the lift procedure, I also removed 56 grams of tissue from the right breast and 70 grams from the left to give her better shape and symmetry. Following her vertical breast lift, the patient is extremely happy with her breast size and shape.
