This Virginia Beach woman in her early 50s had breast augmentation almost 20 years earlier. She was happy with her saline implants but wanted to be smaller and have correction of sag that has developed over the years. We discussed the means of going smaller. A breast lift removes tissue but would not decrease her size as much as she wished. Therefore, we decided her best option was to place smaller implants and adjust the pocket for the size of her smaller implants using suturing called Capsulorrhaphy. In one surgery, her implants were replaced, from the original sizes of 335cc and 355cc implants to 190cc and 210cc implants. During this procedure she also underwent a breast lift, further reducing her size another fourth of a cup. She is seen here four months after surgery extremely pleased with her shape and the size that she feels is much more comfortable and appropriate for her.
