This Virginia Beach woman in her forties had breast surgery in 2005 with placement of 720cc saline implants. Since that time, she has felt asymmetric and too large for her small frame. She was not sure what size implant she wanted, so we performed a needle deflation of her current implants under local anesthesia giving her the look of two different sizes. This helped her make the decision on new, smaller implants. However, with smaller implants, the pocket where the implants sit would also have to be made smaller and this would be a capsulorrhapy or closing off some of the overly large pocket from her bigger implants. Under general anesthesia she had removal of her old large implants, a narrowing down of her old pocket and placement of saline implants, 430cc on the right and 390cc on the left. She is extremely happy with her proportions, comfort, and symmetry.
