This young woman recently moved to Virginia Beach and had 485cc gel implants placed 3 years ago. She has been very unhappy with not only the size but also left breast pain when she works out. She described her discomfort as a pulling feeling and wanted her implants removed. We discussed the pros and cons of removing and replacing her implants and she decided to have smaller saline implants. She is seen in her postoperative photo 4 months later. Her smaller saline implants are only 275cc, but she is extremely happy with her improved proportions, shape, and comfort. When the larger gel implants were removed, the pocket where they were placed had to be adjusted surgically to fit her new implants. This procedure is called a capsulorrhaphy. She is left with a very soft natural result with no signs of rippling.
