This Virginia Beach woman in her early sixties wanted a lower lid blepharoplasty or eyelid tuck. Fat injections were planned for the hollow beneath her lower lids and fat removal was planned for the bulges beneath her eyes. It was pointed out to her the hollow of her upper lids, and she took advice on adding fat to the depressed wrinkled area above the upper lid. After 4 months, she is extremely pleased with the rejuvenated look of both her upper and lower lids. Hollowing of the upper lids is often an overlooked indicator of aging of the face and fat injections often work well in this area. Removal of skin or fat in her upper lid would have only made things worse.
