This woman in her early sixties wanted to discuss facial rejuvenation. Our surgical plan included several procedures including fat injections to the upper lids, also called the upper orbit. At the same time, we needed to revise a procedure she had performed elsewhere that she was unhappy with. This required some skin removal. Many patients do not realize the aging look created by hollowing of the upper lids. Although her hollow was not severe, it was still noticeable. In her case, a subtle amount of fat was injected, more so on her left side which needed more volume than the right. She is very pleased with more youthful eyes as a result.
