This 11-year-old girl has been bothered by her prominent ears for many years. Since she was a very mature young lady, I felt comfortable doing this under local anesthesia in the office. I talked her through the few minutes of discomfort to numb up both ears and she did extremely well without having to go under general anesthesia. Sheis so excited about her new look as she approaches her teenage years.
